1. What is included with a Star of the Yard lawn greeting?
Our service offers 7 ft. unique and adorable baby girls, boys and storks to announce and welcome a special addition to the family. The babies come with a personalized teddy bear keepsake that is left with the family after the rental period is over. The storks come with a personalized keepsake bundle. We also offer separate teddy bear keepsakes for siblings. Our New Baby Keepsake door sign is a perfect option for a family that lives in a condominium or apartment complex.

Our lawn ornament greetings are delivered with a 4 ft. message board, personalized with your special greeting and include at least 30 coordinating lawn ornaments. We will assemble the yard display in the most appealing manner possible based on the size and design of the recipient's yard. We kindly ask that the message board and lawn ornaments not be physically moved
or handled with. This will help maintain the longevity of our items so many other people can receive enjoyment out of them!

Nationwide shipping is available for our keepsake bears and bundles. Please contact us for details.

4. Where does Star of the Yard deliver?
We deliver lawn greetings and baby announcements to the following areas of Virginia:

• Yorktown
• Poquoson
• Newport News
• Hampton
• Gloucester
• Williamsburg

*Please note that there will be an additional fee added to the Williamsburg and Gloucester orders based on mileage and bridge tolls.

5. When does Star of the Yard deliver?
Our lawn greetings are delivered and set up by 6AM the day of the rental. We deliver our announcements seven days a week. Baby and Stork announcements are delivered the day before the rental period begins. We will pick up the sign the evening of the last day of the rental period. The keepsake will be left in a bag by the front door.

Our lawn greetings are delivered between 9pm and 6am. The greeting will remain at the residence all day and we will return to retrieve the display after 6 pm the day of the rental. For an extra $20 fee you can rent the greeting for an additional day.

6. Can I combine different lawn ornaments to make up a display?
Yes, you definitely may combine any of our ornaments and create a unique and personalized greeting. Have fun with it and come up with your own fabulous, attention getting gift!

7. How much notice is needed to reserve a baby, stork or lawn greeting?
We request that you contact us and make a reservation as early as possible for best selection. We will try to accommodate last minute orders as long as inventory is available for the requested timeframe.

8. Do you deliver during inclement weather?
Yes, we deliver in most weather conditions, as long as it is not so severe as to jeopardize our personal safety. If this occurs we will notify you and offer a full refund or arrange another date for the display.

9. How do I place an order?
All orders are placed over the telephone. We encourage you to fill out our online order form and we will call you to confirm and process your order. We accept Mastercard, VISA, Discover, American Express, Cash and Money Orders as forms of payment. Payment is due at the time we confirm your order. 

10. What are your business hours?
Star of the Yard is at work day and night. Our greeting service delivers 7 days a week rain or shine. Phone orders are generally taken between the hours of 9 am and 8 pm. You are welcome to leave a message on our voice mail or complete the online order form. We will reply to you promptly.

11. Do you only have displays for birthdays and birth announcements?
There are many other exciting occasions in which Star of the Yard can create a lawn greeting for you. Some of these include: anniversaries, graduations, retirements, housewarmings, thank you’s, congratulations, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, promotions, get well, weddings, parties, as well as, don’t forget, corporate functions!

12. Refund Policy
If extreme weather conditions prevent us from delivering your announcement or greeting, we will issue you a refund of the fees. If you cancel your order at least 48 hours before the rental period begins we will issue a refund of the fees. You WILL NOT receive a refund if the homeowner stops us from setting up the display, if we are asked to remove the display, if we are given the wrong address, if we are given the wrong personalization, if we are not allowed access onto the property, or if the homeowner's dog prevents us from coming onto the property.
